Dr. Luis Angel Velasco, MD
Dr. Velasco completed his Family Residency program at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he obtained his Diplomate for the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Velasco went on to become Associate Director for Wayne State Medical School, Department of Family Medicine, where he taught in the residence program.
Dr. Velasco then joined the United States Air Force, where he served as a Major in the Family physician department. There, Dr. Velasco received the United States Air Force Commendation Medal. After serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Velasco became an associate program director for Family Medicine at the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. There, Dr. Velasco received an Honorary Osteopathic M.D. degree for his excellent dedication. At the same time, Dr. Velasco served as an adjunct assistant clinical professor for the School of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner Program) for the University of Texas, Arlington.
